The story

This canvas is an impression of the inner child. It reflects the choices to walk certain paths, both in the light and in the darkness. In addition to various 'spirit animals' watching over us, the gothic-style frame also shows the evil that always lurks in the dark and our guardian angels fighting against it.

When you think about it, you realize how harsh we are on the inner child within ourselves. Western society teaches us to follow the herd, not to deviate, and to show little expression. Otherwise, you fall outside the group and are considered strange. We all behave according to that learned norm.

But that child... it resides within us all and sometimes just wants to be a child again.
